About Happy Demolition
Fifteen years of taking down houses, shops, sheds and heavy industrial steel across South East Queensland — and carting the lot away, asbestos included.

Who we are
Happy Demolition is a Queensland owned demolition and asbestos removal company working from Ipswich through Brisbane and Logan out to the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast.
We own our excavators and tippers and we run our own crew, so the person who walks your block and quotes the job is the person who turns up to do it. Nothing gets handed to a third party halfway through, and nobody arrives on day one with a different price and a different plan.
Houses, Queenslanders, sheds, pools, shopfronts, warehouses and heavy industrial steel all come down the same way — planned first, then stripped, dropped, sorted and carted off. What you get back is a level block your builder can peg out on straight away.
The part that matters most
On any block built before 1990, bonded asbestos is the question that decides your timeline and your budget. Eaves, fence sheets, shed roofing, bathroom linings — it turns up constantly.
Most demolition contractors stop at that point and book a separate licensed removalist, which adds a week to the program and a second mobilisation charge to the invoice. We hold the licence ourselves. The sheeting comes off, goes to a licensed disposal facility, and the machines keep working to the same schedule.
How a job runs
Every demolition follows the same five stages. Knowing the order is what keeps the price honest and keeps the machines on your block for the shortest time possible.
We walk the block, check access for the machines and tippers, look at what is coming down and what is staying, then write a fixed, itemised price.
Asbestos sampling where the age of the building calls for it, plus the demolition approval and any council paperwork the job needs before work starts.
Power, water, gas, sewer and telecommunications all get formally disconnected and capped. Nothing swings until every service is confirmed dead.
Asbestos and salvageable material come out first, then the structure comes down with dust suppression running and the site fenced off.
Debris, slab, stumps and contaminated soil leave with us. The block gets levelled, the paperwork gets handed over, and the next trade can start.
Why clients stay with us
Demolition goes wrong in the gaps — between the quote and the invoice, between the asbestos crew and the machine operator. We close those gaps by doing the whole job in house.
Testing, disconnections, tipping fees and slab removal all appear in the quote up front. Those four line items separate a real price from a lowball one.
Excavators, shears, hammers and tippers are ours. Nobody waits on a hire yard, and no unfamiliar operator learns your block on the day.
Public liability cover, safe work method statements and the disposal documentation you need at handover all come as standard, never as an extra.
Dust suppression, fencing, traffic control and sensible working hours. Tight suburban blocks and live retail centres make up most of what we do.
Concrete, brick, steel and clean timber get sorted and sent for reprocessing rather than straight to landfill. That keeps your tipping costs down too.
We answer quotes and book site visits from 7am to 8pm, every day. Builders working to a handover date should not have to wait until Monday.
Where we work
Our yard sits in Ipswich, which puts most of the south east within an easy run for the floats and tippers. If your block falls outside these areas, call us anyway — we travel for the right job.
